This Special methylated spirit is made from our Standard Grade ethanol to which a denaturant (chemical) is added to render the Ethanol (SG) non-potable. A variety of denaturants are available for blending with Ethanol, the most suitable denaturant would depend on your intended purpose. Please contact the laboratory for specialist advice on the correct form of special methylated spirits for your application.

Special methylated spirits are used in all applications not intended for human consumption. These include perfumery, fragrances, personal care, veterinary products, sterilisation, aerosols and extraction processes.

A permit from the ATO is still required for these grades.

Common Denaturants used in partly denatured products are:

F2 - 0.5% Diethyl Phthalate

F3 - 2% Methanol

Available in 20L pails, 200L drums, 1000L IBC's or Bulk Tankers
